Haddington Hill
Haddington Hill is a hill in The Chilterns, and the highest point in the English county of Buckinghamshire. On the north-eastern flank is Coombe Hill, not to be confused with another Coombe Hill 4 kilometres to the south-west.
Haddington Hill is owned by the Forestry Commission, whose Wendover Woods cover much of the hill. Many tracks run through the forest, and a car park is located near the summit among the trees: the flat summit means the precise location of the highest point is difficult to determine with certainty. However, in the woods to the east of the car park there is a large stone bearing the inscription 'Highest Point of the Chiltern Hills' which can reasonably be accepted as the summit. Those looking for a view will unfortunately be disappointed as the high point is surrounded by trees.
Pavis Wood
Pavis Wood is an area of woodland on a hill located near Hastoe in Tring, north-western Hertfordshire,England. A point on its eastern slopes is the highest point in the county of Hertfordshire at 244 m (801 ft). The area is often considered as ancient woodland comprising of a wide variety of plants such as the Yellow Pimpernel and Wood Mellick. A bridleway crosses the woodland which can be accessed throughout the year as well as the Ridgeway National Trail which is dominated mainly by beech, oak and ash.
The summit plateau lies less than 3 miles from the border of Buckinghamshire and part of the Aylesbury Vale which contains the Buckinghamshire county top Haddington Hill 267 m (876 ft). It is linked to Haddington Hill by a high ridge which gives this hill a mere 5 metres of relative height.
The summit area is unmarked and is difficult to determine, as is Haddington Hill's summit in Wendover Woods.

The Capital Ring
The Capital Ring is a strategic walking route that is being promoted by London's 33 local councils, led by the City of London Corporation in partnership with the Greater London Authority and its functional body for regional transport, Transport for London, through which much of the funding is provided. It is called a "ring" because the route completely encircles inner and central London.
The official start of the route is the Woolwich foot tunnel, but the nature of the route means that it can be started or finished at almost any point.

The Hampstead Ponds or Highgate Ponds are three large freshwater swimming ponds — two designated single sex, and one for mixed bathing — fed by the River Fleet in Hampstead Heath, England.
They were originally dug in the 17th and 18th centuries as reservoirs. A malarial marsh was drained by the Hampstead Water Company in 1777 to meet London's growing water demand.
In 2004, the City of London Corporation, which operates the Heath, tried to close the ponds on the grounds that they were an unsustainable drain on their expenses and posed a health risk to swimmers. The swimmers challenged this and won a victory in the High Court.
